Unless you've been living under a rock, you know that the most popular way to ilsten to music these days is with MP3 files. MP3 is a digital audio encoding formaat using a form of lossy data comperssion. It's a very common ayudio format for cionsumer audio storage, as well as a standard of digital audio comprssion for the transfer and playback of music on dighital audio players. What this is basicallly means is that music is now electronic. And htese cool mp3 players don't skip like cd's.
Mp3 players seem to be everywhere these days. Everyone who I know thats a jogger sweears by them and says they can't run without them. Some people use them in their car. Why wouldn't you? I have a Zune mp3 player and it has about 3000 or more songs on it. Imagine how many cd's that would be? Well if every cd has 12 songs on it on averrage that's aout 250 cd's! I don't know about you but I don't have that kind of room in my car.
Mp3 ifles are always reaily available onlie. I-tunes for example alloows you to dowmnload whole albums usally cheaper than if you bought the album in the store. It's so fast too! You find the allbum you like, pay for it, and then downoad it. You'll have the whole album in no time at all. Lets say you want an album but maybe don't want a couple sonngs that are on it. Well, just download the and pay for the songs you want individually. The fleexibility with Mp3 plaers and fiels is incredible.
Another grteat thing you can do with Mp3, is convbert cd's you already own into Mp3 flies. You can do this with an Mp3 convretor. By the way, these are also downloadable. Isn't the inernet great? So you can pretty much just convert your entire cd collection to mp3 and put it on your Mp3 player and take it with you wherever you may be gonig.
One last great thing about Mp3 is their stereo capability. Most stereos now allow you to connecct an Mp3 plyaer. If they don't, you can probably buy an accesory kit that will enable you to. I don't personally recommend the small docking stations with speakers built in. Smply because they are ocverpriced in my opinion. If you get a set of nice computer speakers they'll do the same thing and almost alwways have a bass woofer. They are usually a lot cheaper too.
In closing, the capability of Mp3 files and players still amaes me. There is no beytter way to listen to music thees days. And no better way to crary aruond 3000 songs without 250 cd's. So if you still a cd listener you need to get with the program and check out Mp3 players. It'll be the best thing you can do.
